MEET THE TRAINER

My name is Katie Cremean, I am a certified personal trainer and a certified spin instructor. I am also a mom, a Navy wife, a former fat girl, a former All American water polo player, a foodie and a lover of all things active.

In the past month, I have completed my certification to become a personal trainer as well as a spin instructor. For the past 3 years I have toyed with a career in fitness and in the beginning of 2016 I decided to make my ideas a reality.

A little background about me, growing up I was always on the heavier side. I got made fun of in school, I even got called "Shamu" because I was heavier than everyone else and a swimmer. I was picked on a ton. I struggled with finding myself and trying to fit in. Even though I I was a high school and college athlete the weight just always was there because I did not understand the balance of food and exercise . I played 3 sports in college as well as water polo in college. In 2010, as I was preparing to graduate college and enter the real world, I had a very sudden realization that I did not want to be heavy any more. I wanted to feel comfortable in my own skin (plus the boy that I was head over heels in love with told me said to me "I want you but I wish you had better legs" ) I don't think i will ever forget that quote because it pushed me over the edge to change my life. I lost 20 pounds before graduation and have been losing ever since. I now weigh 60 pounds less than my heaviest weight.

In 2014, I got pregnant with my daughter and as excited as I was to meet her, I was very scared at the same time. I ended up gaining a very healthy 30lbs with her which was a very emotional time for me, I was worried I wasn't going to be able to lose it again or I was going to develop bad habits for again, all well trying to eat enough calories to help my daughter grow. I found my love of spin during my pregnancy. I began spinning 5 times a week while I was pregnant and loved it. My strength and cardiovascular endurance increased tremendously, I loved it. It also made it very easy for me to lose the weight once she was born and I have been going strong ever since. I try to be a roll model for her everyday.

My goals are to meet your goals. Whether that is to increase stability or strength, get ready for a special event, finally lose the baby weight, become a faster athlete or just even to walk your first 5k, I want to help you find the best version of yourself. If you are interested in a program please reach out to me so we can start making your goals a reality.
